One Prayer 2009
We pray to Jesus asking him to answer our prayers – what if we became the answer to his? In John 17:20-24, Jesus prayed that his followers would be one, and One Prayer is an opportunity to see what can be accomplished when the Church works together.
Beginning the first weekend in June, we’ll come together for four weeks as we go out into the world to share resources, serve our communities, and give to a meaningful cause. Some of our service projects will include:
- Participating in a neighborhood “Service Scavenger Hunt”
- Offering full-service at local gas stations
- Loading groceries at local stores
- Offering a free car wash at the church
- Giving away water along Hines Drive
Also, throughout June, Mark will share messages that explore the theme “God Is…”
- “God Is Our Unifier”
- “God Is Our Provider”
- “God Is Our Fortress”
If you would like to join us as we stand together with other churches across the nation through June, please sign up at the welcome center. T-shirts to wear during the service projects are also available to purchase at cost. For more information, please contact Chris Birtles.
