Adult Ministries
There are a number of different areas and ways to bridge the gap at Memorial. Our family gathers in various groups for fellowship, spiritual growth, and service: Celebration, Congregation, Cell, and Core. Each level is made up of different sized groups that meet together for different reasons.
Celebration
Our Sunday morning gatherings at 9:30 and 11:00 are our Celebration or ?big church ? groups. These groups meet with the primary purpose to worship God, the ?audience of one. ? Each of our celebration gatherings meets to worship and celebrate our Lord, to hear from Him, to be motivated to accept and serve within his grace. Our 9:30 and 11:00 contemporary gatherings are led by a great worship band and include relevant teaching from the Bible. Our 11:00 traditional service includes hymns and praise songs led with piano and organ and and also includes solid Bible preaching.
Congregation
As our church family grows, it gets difficult to know everybody and maintain the feeling of family. So we like to to meet in congregations or ?little church ? groups. These are our Adult Bible Fellowship groups (ABFs). ABFs are groups that exist for Bible study, fellowship, mutual encouragement, pastoral care and even outreach. ABFs are organized loosely around the age or life-stage of our adults (young adults, parents with children, parents with grown children, senior adults, etc.). Our ABFs meet Sunday mornings at 9:30 and 11:00.
Check out our Adult Bible Fellowship groups listing.
Cell
Cell groups are smaller groups where ?the rubber meets the road. ? Our cell level of fellowship and discipleship include Bible study groups, Ministry Teams, N2 affinity groups (what are you ?into ), and support groups. They are formed more around purpose, for example: Bible study, common interests or needs, and specific tasks. These groups meet at various times and in various places throughout the week.
Core
We like to think of ourselves as family, even if we aren ?t all related to each other. We think this way because we believe that the family unit is a model of the way God wants to have relationships with us and how we ought to have relationships within the body of believers. Memorial seeks to be family friendly by including programming for every age during each of our worship gatherings and Bible school hours, by planning events that are appropriate for all ages, and by supporting families through teaching, guiding, and fellowshiping.
