Be Strong and Courageous

Good morning everyone! Hope that everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather this week. As much as I love the snow – I am definitely ready for some warmer weather and sunshine :). Thank you to everyone who is serving in the Children’s Ministry. Thank you for your heart and passion for kids and teaching them Truth. Thank you for showing them God’s love and giving them a safe place to learn more about Christ.

I would like to share this verse with you this week:

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

~ Joshua 1:9

What an amazing promise this is! I am in the midst of reading about Joshua and his faith and courage is pretty awesome. Knowing that God is with me wherever I go, it brings me such a peace. That no matter what happens, when I put my faith in Him, He is there to guide, guard, and protect. God is good.

This week figure out areas in your life where you are discouraged or scared about and give it up to God. For me personally, it is in the areas where I am discouraged that I have the hardest time giving to God, and I don’t know why. But when I finally surrender whatever it is that I am discouraged or terrified about, God always has a way of working it out in His time in His way. Take time to really give those things up to God – trust that He is with you wherever you go and that He will help you to be strong and courageous for Him.
